Côte de Nuits
Côte de Nuits
Known as the « Champs-Elysées of Burgundy », this narrow strip of magnificently east-facing hillsides extends over 3,200 hectares, or 20 km from north to south, from Dijon to Corgoloin (a village located 8 km north of Beaune). The small town of Nuits-Saint-Georges lies at the heart of this « avenue », whose width sometimes does not exceed a few kilometres! Pinot Noir reigns here and finds expression across eight villages.
This is the paradise of red Grands Crus: the Côte de Nuits gave birth to every one of them... with the exception of Corton, which is located in the Côte de Beaune! On the heights of the hills overlooking the slopes, the magnificent Hautes-Côtes de Nuits vineyards produce structured and highly aromatic wines.
